Portfolio One

As I started my first semester, my focus lied on taking pictures of people skating because skating is something I am really passionate about.  As temperature was going down skateboarding for me became less fun, so I transitioned into fashion and editorial types of photos.  

As I started to take photos in the fashion genre, I realized that I had been developing my style of photos using wide angle lenses and utilizing perspective.  While keeping the actual fashion to skate wear / street wear style.  These roots of loving skateboarding have lead me to push that type of style into my work.

This collection I started to learn more editing techniques that I can use to add life to my photos, while keeping to the fashion side of things taking photos of shoes.  

This technique can carry over to other styles of photos and you can create really interesting photos.  Photos that fill the frame giving them character and style of skateboarding culture.

As we transitioned into studio work my interest in it was instantly peaked.  I thought it would be a perfect work environment to give me a sense of control when it came to lighting and composition.  Studio work I have found very interesting, and I hope to continue evolving my style in the studio over these next semesters.
